FeFe recruits, researchers research

FeFe connects researchers to participants and handles the reward. Every study is designed, hosted, run and analysed by the researcher on their own survey tool. FeFe is not a sponsor, a co-investigator, a research ethics committee or a data controller for the answers collected inside a study.

What FeFe does check

  • That the reward meets our fair pay floor of £6 per hour for the length stated.
  • That eligibility criteria are used for matching and not to exclude unlawfully.
  • That the study description is not misleading about payment or time.
  • That submissions are screened for speeding, duplicates and automated answering.

What FeFe does not check

  • The scientific validity, methodology or statistical design of a study.
  • Whether the researcher's conclusions are sound.
  • The clinical safety of any intervention, product or treatment discussed in a study.
  • The content of the researcher's own survey tool beyond what we are told.

Listing a study on FeFe is not an endorsement of it, its funder, or any finding published from it.

Researcher obligations

  • Hold any ethics approval your institution or regulator requires before you launch, and keep evidence of it.
  • Give participants proper study information and take informed consent inside your own study, including the right to withdraw.
  • Have a lawful basis for the data you collect, and for health data an appropriate special category condition under UK GDPR.
  • Do not attempt to identify participants, and do not collect identifying information beyond what you told participants you would.
  • Studies involving NHS patients, staff or premises, or anything meeting the definition of a clinical trial, need the approvals that apply to that work. FeFe does not obtain them for you.

Enforcement

FeFe may pause or remove a study, refuse future launches, and suspend an account where a study breaches these standards, our acceptable use policy or the law. Participants can report a study by emailing marianatmatthews@gmail.com.

No warranty on outcomes

FeFe provides the recruitment platform as described. We do not warrant that any particular number of participants will be reached, that every submission will suit your research needs, or that a study will produce usable data.
