Participant terms

These terms are maintained by FeFe and apply to everyone who takes part in studies. They sit alongside our main terms of service.

Joining the pool

  • You must be 18 or over, confirm your email address and hold only one account.
  • FeFe studies look at health issues affecting women with a female reproductive system, so places on the panel are limited to people who were recorded female at birth. You are asked this once during screening and the answer is used only to decide eligibility.
  • Places are reviewed by hand. Answers that do not fit together are held for review, and a declaration we later find to be inaccurate means the account is closed and any unpaid rewards are withheld.
  • You complete a health screening and a one off quality check before your first study. Fail the quality check twice and the account cannot take studies.
  • You re-confirm your profile at least every six months so researchers get accurate eligibility data.
  • Your screening answers are used only to match you to studies you qualify for.

Taking part

  • Answer honestly and in your own words. Each study states whether AI assistance is allowed, and where it is not, AI written answers are rejected.
  • Finish the study on the researcher's site and paste the completion code back into FeFe. Codes are matched automatically, and mismatches are flagged to the researcher.
  • Do not use bots, scripts or automation to find or reserve studies. Reserving studies unusually quickly temporarily limits your access.
  • Submissions finished far faster than the stated study length are flagged, and studies can auto-reject them.

Rewards and cash outs

  • Every study pays at least £6 per hour of your time and you keep 100% of the reward.
  • Rewards are added to your balance on approval, and unreviewed submissions are approved automatically after 21 days.
  • Cash out by bank transfer or PayPal to an account in your own name. We may ask you to confirm your identity before paying out.
  • Cash out your balance before closing your account, as we cannot pay it out after.

Your record and removal from the pool

  • Approvals and rejections build a live quality record. Researchers can require a minimum approval rate or a minimum number of approved studies.
  • Too many rejections suspends your account. Two confirmed AI written submissions removes you from the pool.
